That's cool as long as the turtle is a red snapper. Otherwise, it is not a real turtle......

One of the first rules I learned when working in the gun shop is that EVERYONE is an expert and they ALL know more than you do.

Add the Interwebz and the ability to flame from afar and it only gets worse.

Here's the deal:

If you like what you have, it should not matter what I, or anyone else, has to say.

If your weapon has never failed you, if it goes bang everytime, if it fits your hand, if the caliber is perfect for your shooting needs - then what the f**k do you care what anyone else thinks??

I just don't like Glocks because of their FanBoys. Of those clowns would shut their mouths, the wweapon might get judged on it's merit.

And my Kimbers haven't rusted yet.

If you let me hold your Kimber I can change that for you.

I had the benefit of working in a gun shop for a time. It allowed me to buy and sell a wide variety of firearms. It helped to broaden my scope of knowledge. It also gave me the opportunity to experience many firearms that I couldn't have otherwise afforded.

Financial difficulties have forced me to drastically reduce my collection. So now I'm down to just a few arms and while they aren't fancy, they are all dependable.

Maybe at some later date I'll be able to replace a couple.

With me it's a monetary thing. I buy what I can afford, tweak it till it's reliable, then use and abuse it. Have a Charles Daly 1911 and a S&W PD 1911 in SC Commander. Both have ambi safeties I put in and I love them both. Both are plain Jane and that's what I want. I could save the coin and make pretty little race guns, but why? I pull the trigger and the gun goes bang every time, that's all I need, no matter what brand.
