You might be a gun nut if:

You wear your new shoulder holster with a loaded firearm while doing household chores to determine whether it's livable or it goes on the pile with the rest.

Pets and family members disappear from sight the second they hear a bolt clack because they know they wont be getting any attention for at least an hour.

Every tool you own is thoroughly protected forever with an odd mixture of bluing, gun oil and bore butter. You are thinking of patenting it.

A new rifle or handgun will seem to always be within view, anywhere in the house, for a least 2 days after purchase.

At least one firearm in the collection can be field stripped and put back together blindfolded and/or one handed. There may be several videos.

You chuckle every time you see a product color described as “gun metal gray” because it looks so fake.

Every item of clothing goes well with camouflage.
Guilty of #s 3 and 5. On #5 the Mini 14 is blindfolded and one handed, my 870 and the wifes 500 are blindfolded only. Almost there with the 1911, give me another week and I just might have it down pat.

Your post has inspired me. I know way too many folks with chromed engine dress up kits on their cars and bikes. Maybe i should blue the valve cover on my truck instead...........

My dad was a Marine. I thought that was just SOP.

Or...
You clean until the cloth stays white, but clean it again 2 says later because you know it'll weep a little carbon over time.
See what I mean? Sorry Trip, I had to.

Wow, you have set the bar low on that one. Personally, I'm hoping it goes to 100,000.

You know you're a gun nut, when you go to college and miss your firearms more than your family.

You know you're a gun nut when you bypass the new trail postings to get to the 1911 pics thread.

You know you are a gun nut if

... you started your snowbird trip with more ammo than the local gun store, did a little shooting with relatives at each stop.

... your snowbird trip included stopping at all the gun stores and gun shows and coming back with more ammo than when you left.

Default You know you're a gun nut if.....

You unroll the load handler on the tailgate of your truck to get the first load of manure of the season, and 7 shells fall out of it's roll. Happened to me yesterday while getting a load at my buddy's farm for the garden. (1 .223, 2 7.62X54 R, 1 .357, and 3 .22 LR fell out.)

If you annoy the Armorer on your Base/Post toi take out every single spare weapon ansd test fire it at least once per tour!

If you leave Gun magazines in the "reading room" for the S.O./Wife to read...

Take a Handgun Training course for a weekend getaway....

Sell off old stuff to buy new stuff.....

Go to at least 3 different LGS's per week to get enough Ammo to shoot and still add to stocks...

and my Favorite...

Call Ruger CS at least 2x per month about lack of spare Mags for your Autos!

Quick I'll give you $30 for the .22LR!
