I hate to be a jerk, but pretty much everyone knows about the Sturmgewehr 44.
Most know some of its history, but not all of it.
I know it pretty dang good, considering I find it extremely interesting and it was a big chunk of my term paper for junior year of high school.

NOOOOOOOOO!

The side effects of not buying are worse that the normal side effects of being a gun nut. Sure, you can give it up cold turkey for a while, (I've heard of some folks making it for a few years) but all of the sudden it hits you again. Usually right in the wallet, and it won't stop until your LGS runs out of guns, or you run out of money.

I've heard it can be fatal.......

When the spouse sees the bank statement.

Currently, that description fits my mouse and keyboard. Guess I didn't scrub the hands well enough after cleaning the 1911.

You find parts in your field repair kits that you know what guns they go to, and none of them are for guns you own. You thenuse those parts as a reason to buy more guns as "restoration projects".

Same here.
Except its oil and bore cleaner.
Thankfully the bore cleaner smell has almost completely dissipated from the garage.
That stuff smells like burnin rubber.
