Kind of the other side, when you go into a LGS and ask for "9mm bullets", and they look like they want to ask you "Now do you mean bullets or cartridges?"

I just point and grunt. Lol.
Is it correct to use the word "round" when referring to ammo? If I understand correctly round refers to the entire cartridge bullet, case, primer and propellant.

You might be a gun nut if you bring a hand truck or pallet jack with you when you go shopping for ammo.

I'm guilty of this but its worse when someone thinks a 17hmr bullet is bigger than a 22 when it isn't.

Yeah, that's what I meant. When I ask for bullets, that's what I mean. In fact, I just don't ask. I look for myself.
I've only been going to about 3 stores for 5 years or so.
Oh, I've got one:
You know you're in the company of gun-nuts when You ask a guy if he has lead balls, and he doesn't bust out laughing , but just says "Aisle 3".

You're standing in the same aisle as an employee being asked where
something is by another customer, and you answer faster then the
employee can ask in his radio and then tell the customer the stocking
levels and what the better purchase is if there are options...
