True story.
My son class was discussing firearms and how many kids have shot, hunted
etc. we are rural so there were a good number of kids. My son said 3/4 of
the kids have guns in their homes.
Any way the teacher asked how many had shot a gun, hand gun, hunted,
etc. etc. as more hands kept getting taken down. Until my boy's hand was
the only one up. Teachers asked how often my son shoots, his reply, "We
it is close to becoming a chore..."

Please don't. It's been done, ad nauseum. You'll see it happen. Some newbie will pop in and ask (as their first post, and first thread, mind you) why the "clip thingy" in his grandfather's (insert any mag fed firearm here) won't work, or "how many bullets does this clip hold?" or whatever.
Then, you sit back and watch the fur fly. Fifty otherwise mature and well respected members will make complete and utter asses of themselves by ripping this new member a new ******* to go along with their new gun, over, and over, and over, and over, repeatedly, and repeatedly, and repeatedly... until a mod steps in and extinguishes the flame throwers.
This usually results in some innocent, ignorant, poor soul who is just looking for a little friendly advice, now suddenly decides that maybe FTF isn't such a great place. They get mad, and leave. Very justifiably too. They probably all get the impression that us "gun nuts" are a bunch of flaming *******s too.
Totally not the way to bring new people into the fold. But watch. You stick around long enough and you'll see the "clip vs magazine" thing happen.

Nope do not go ballistic, they are just informing you of their lack of
knowledge of firearms. I did use the terms (correctly) the other day
just to spin up another firearm advocate...
I told him, "None of my clips hold more than 10 rounds anyway."
That got him going. I sat back and enjoyed the show, my FFL
dealer did too. Finally he stopped and asked what we were laughing
at. We pointed to him. Then I explained...
I use 10 round strippers to store ammo and load my AR-15 magazines...
