Can't say I have done that before. One time though I met a friend, Dave, at my main range, his first time there. I didn't know what he was going to bring, so I brought a bunch of stuff, figuring that if there was anything that both of us had we would just not shoot it. Well, knowing he was coming, and wanting to have a couple of stations, and figuring he may possibly bring a guest, I laid out my guns in three stations (to hold them) and commenced to plinking by myself while I waited. Well I kinda took up all of the shooting bench (this was on the pistol range) and when he showed up, he apparently had the same idea I had and brought probably a dozen to choose from (and predictably there were some that were pretty much the same- but different enough that we still had to try each other's out) and he lays them out in three more stations, so now we have taken up six shooting stations- though it was a slow day at the range so we weren't taking any space from people who were waiting.
So the Range Master, Kenny, had walked by before Dave got there, and then again afterwards, and then after a little while he came by again and says "MY, my, my! Just look at all that hardware! How many guys are y'all expectin' to show up?"
And I replied "Just the two of us today!" and he laughed out loud and said "I think you brought enough for a dozen!". All together we probably had near two dozen guns there and just the two of us shooting.

Now that is funny.
I had a co-worker and visiting from the UK and he had only
ever shot a .303 Enfield in the Air cadets. We spent six hours
between the shotgun rifle and pistol ranges, he had a ball!
He just kept asking me and this is all legal here, yup...

i use to leave my shotgun at the skeet range so often, i just ended up leaving it there all the time! its easy to do...you go with 2 guns and carry one to the car thinking well...i got my gun.
then you realize one case is empty when you get home. sure enough, on the answering machine would be a message, hey ski...you did it again!
the world was much more innocent then today.

When travelling on business, and you get to your hotel room you search the yellow pages and Yelp.com for gun shops in the area...
