Back in '69 when I had a tow business in New England, I pulled an Odsmobile out of the drink on the Vineyard.

A few years later some friends and I DECIDED to take a late night stroll through a nice condo called The Watergate just to check it out. Well, I had to take a leak so I ducked into a stairwell.I found I was locked out so I had to go all the way down to the first floor. I was tired, so I went home. Boy did my friends get in trouble over that!

A few years later, while in D.C. on business, I tried to talk a casual friend out of giving a Central American waterway away to a foreign country. Of course he didn't listen.
Soon after he was fired from a pretty good job. I still hear from him occasionally, but it's usually to put the touch on me for building money.

Another time I tried helping a friend out doing some legwork for him. Months of travel between the Mid East and Central America.
The Colonel still won't return my calls.

Then there was the time I helped my minister, Mr. Baker, by hiring a Secretary for him.
Tammy Faye never forgave me for that!

Feeling pretty under appreciated, I Decided to travel a bit, but eventually ended up back in D.C. and partying with a good old boy I'd met in Arkansas a while back.
I kept telling him that just because he was the boss, he couldn't do whatever he wanted to do, whenever he felt like it.
Did he listen? No. But at least he didn't get fired.
Well, hanging out with "Bill" got me introduced to couple of golfers down in Hobe Sound, Florida. But those stories will have to wait for another time.

Oh. Pathological liars? Nope. Never met one.
wrong thread but I like your avatar.

This thread isn't adrift, it busted upon the rocks and is going down! I'll attempt a salvage though.

You might be a gun nut if you have several safes, and one of them is for all of your "junk guns" that you don't shoot or are not safe to shoot.

Somebody asks how many guns you have and your reply is "I don't know".

I answer with "More than I would ever possibly need but not nearly as many as I want."

(This is my actual answer- and no, I don't know how many I have. And feel free to steal this!)

You might be a gun nut if.

Four local gun shops know you by name.

.....if you spend so much time picking up brass that you leave your gun at the range. and go back a week later and didnt even realize you forgot it...as the rangemaster hands it to you out of his safe and laughs.
