A kid named Winchester would be called Winnie and a kid named Remington would be called Remy. I am not a fan of these bastardized contracted nicknames. My kids have relatively simple yet distinctive names that don't readily lend themselves to contracted nicknames.

I like Ruger and Colt. Henry is too common.
