I have had the extreme pleasure of touring the largest privately owned military armor collection in the world. Its right here near me in Portola Valley. Here is the website- http://www.mvtf.org/

Awesome collection! I am quite jealous indeed. Then again the guy who put the collection together (Jaques Littlefield- now deceased) had a significant fortune to spend on his hobby. He even has two SCUD missiles with the launch platforms from the first Gulf war.

In Great Britain you can drive certain tanks on public roads with rubber treads and a tank driver license. Wonder how well that would go over here in the US?

I have been trying to set up another tour group for a couple of years. They limit the groups to 25 people I think, parking is a serious issue so everybody has to carpool from in town. I will definitely keep you in mind when I get the call!

If you refuse to throw away any gun magazine because you may want to read the articles again some day, you might be a gun nut.

If you have several gun related decorations, you might be a gun nut.

If you have a list with over 100 guns on it that you'd like to own someday, you might be a gun nut.

I'm guilty of all the above, and proud of it.

You might be a "Gun NUT" if you build a memorial wall to your Dad & FatherIn Laws' Military and LE careers, and Mount the Guns they carried in service or on "the job" on the wall with their shadow boxes full of decorations....next to the pics of your Dad in uniform at your Graduation from WOCS & Basic FLIGHT school, because your Dad, was the only parent there in Uniform, and he thought enough of his 1st born son to show up in Dress Greens...

Here is a video of the local tank museum. Littlefield died since the video was made and his panzer has been completed from what I understand.

That dang list! Every time I turn around a few more get added to it. If only I could buy at the same rate I can add to the list I'd be happy.
