You might be a gun nut when you have to choose which carry gun goes with what you plan on wearing today. Black goes with everything I own

You might be a gun nut if you clean your guns on the kitchen table, and keep your gun cleaning stuff in the fridge. I have a separate building for that.

thanks. It's actually a 25 rounder that was made in the 80s by ramline. Came with the rifle and about 2200 rounds. mine is the charter arms version, and it was made in the late 70s. Most folks thought the CA ones were junk due to a jamming problem. When I got mine, it would jam about every 3rd shot. I first tried to fix this with a cleaning, didn't help. Next came beveling the lower edge of the chamber with a smithing stone. Jammed every 4 to 5 shots. Adjusted the bevel to about 1\8 inch, and tweaked the lips and ramp on my factory 8 round mags. Now it doesn't care what I feed it just as long as it's long rifle. No FTF or FTE jams since.

the 25 rounder was plastic, and there was no fix for the jams. I sold it to a guy at a gun show in Erie last year, and from what I hear from a mutual fried, he swears at it, not by it. While i was at the show, I lucked int 3 more 8s, and 2 10 rounders for $40, so I scooped them up on the spot. All are adjusted, and all work flawlessly.

If the following applies to you:

I like shooting black powder guns because when the smoke clears, it is just like opening a present. The end result doesn't matter so much as the anticipation.

Then not only are you a gun nut, you are a special kind of gun nut.

If on long trips through NY you count these signs to pass the time.....

Todays 17 mile round trip to the grocery store yielded 19 of them. up by three from yesterday's trip to the doctor's office.
