Sign up with a local PD or SO as a reserve. You don't have to wait for "eventually." Lots of fun to be had on the weekends.

What did somebody forget to engage their safety and shoot the dogs front teeth out? Or are we blaming that on the Glock shooters?

MO(my last-Late Bulldog's name was Shlomo-Mo for short!), Colts are still Great Guns,..I have 2 GC's and a Commander, that I wish I could shoot more often,..but anything but the weakest loads on any 45ACP, or 4X MAGNUM hurt my Back and shoulders for days afterward(sorta like that when your held together with pins, plastic & wire). I am currently searching for a 9mm "conversion kit" for the CC, to compliment my Rugers, Smiths & 92's... My NM CG 70 Had not had a FTF or FTE since it was brand new almost 30 years ago, and is on it's second Match Barrel(done in 1999), My Series 80 has around 11K rds. through it's current tube. They are just the best in the 1911 category. I also have recently, sadly, sold my 75th Annv. Colt GC 1911 Presentation(the cost of being a collector & shooter made it a necessity) but still have my late Dad's Auto-Ord. Presentation 1911....
I wish you luck with your two new ones...
