Default WWII/Military History Theme

I'm wanting to change my room into a history theme. One wall is occupied with a Atlanta braves mural that my mom painted by hand, but I want to display some medals my uncle gave me and some old relics and stuff... Any ideas?

How about some OD green canvas on the walls and maybe some mil-surplus steel furniture. Make it look like the inside of a command post tent.

That sounds good. I also have military surplus rifles already up and 2 metal signs hanging up. I'm planning on putting my 75mm casing and some medals up and making it kinda looking like a museum. The one wall has to stay braves cause my mom spent 3 days on it, and the 3 other walls are a grayish/steel color. I also am going to see if my uncle or grandfather (who are painters) to paint a small version of the Iwo Jima flag raising that's about 3x3 1/3 or so, I'm not entirely sure yet though

Start with a properly folded flag.

I had the same idea for my spare bedroom, I am turning it into an office. I already have an army quartermasters bed and a few pictures.

That sounds good, in like a walnut shadow box? With the box having a Garand-like finish. I have some medals still in te presentation box from my uncle who was in Vietnam, and I have his chest board from his uniform.

I sent my uncle's info as a "Hump Pilot" for the WWII Memorial and they sent me an artists rendition of the memorial. I'll bet their website has photos for framing. It's quite a nice memorial for the WWII heroes.
