Default WW2 Sub Recording

the following are sound recordings by the USS Sealion sinking the Japanese battleship Kongo. what is really astounding is the calm "doing the job" attitude by the crew that really illusrates the proffesionalism of our armed forces to this day. could you be so calm under similar circumstance??

Introduction by Fred Schuler
Attack on Battleship Kongo, Record 1
Attack on Battleship Kongo, Record 2
Attack on Battleship Kongo, Record 3
Attack on Battleship Kongo, Record 4

other similar recordings can be found at: HNSA-Historic Naval Sound and Video

including early use during ww2 by us navy aircraft employing sonabuoys and sound guided torpedos to sink german and japanese subs.

Thank you. It's a little tough to make out at times, but is a wonderful record of the professionalism and courage of our seamen.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”Samuel Adams
