My range association supports the WWP, and we also host shoots for some of our younger brothers and sister rehabbing at McGuire Hospital- get them a day of the range, cheeseburgers and soda. A lot of them are amputees, and they are learning to to do things all over.

There is also a good fishing lake near where I live that has a wheelchair accessible floating dock- we have had 2 "let's go fishing" outings.

There is a somewhat related program I would mention- Fisher House. Provides temporary housing at no charge to families of GIs visiting them in a military hospital. NO govt funds, one of the 10 best charities in the US- and you CAN donate frequent flyer miles to them.

Fisher House is an amazing charity! We cooked dinner there a couple of years ago and it was a great experience. The people have hopes to hold on to, but that dinner was a great time for all.

Fisher House is the designated charity of a local radio show. The Men's Room has a special beer, called Men's Room Original Ale, and all proceeds go to benefit Fisher House.

I have not heard of the WWP but I have given to several charities around here for vets. I just gave $1 to vet at the store the other day, Vets of Foreign Wars. My cousin is a Dessert Storm vet, he went thru a tornado that broke both his legs. He lived in a trailer house that took a direct hit lifted the house up over trees and landed 300 yds in a field. This was 2 yrs ago in December, Sears and other groups donated to rebuild his home, nice wood/brick with a storm shelter. It was one of the worst tornados this area has ever seen. I also give him a great discount at my firework stand, any solider/vet gets a 10% discount.

Default Wounded Warrior Program

JD,

Being a Vet myself and after making a simple donating since I felt it was the least I could do. Then reading of your involvement and dedication to the WWP organization. My heart and inner feelings was Jarred! So as of this week, I joined the Advanced Guard Program also! Not much at that, but it at least it is something to show my support as yours and others. God Bless our Troops and God Bless America!
