I think you will find most employers not maiking huge distinctions.
Some distinction yes in an Extreme case, say comparing an online to a $200,000 degree from an Ivy league school (or a state ivy) .

But how often will you compete against those guys?

In any event Online degrees are becoming more and more acceptable

WOC wise decision. We have always treated our children the same way. It is sometimes comforting to see your kids achieve there own successs. But of course we knew it was or DNA that really saved them.

The online degrees that soldiers take to accompany their MOS are very credible. They have a related MOS so the veteran has work experience through the military. For your average 18 year old kid life on campus really benefits a lot of them.

Universitys like Public schools have created a very different campus experience. It is now possible to take a class on campus and never meet your professor. I expect that we will see more acceptance for on-line degrees in the future.

Would depend heavily on the degree AND the school. I worked on my bachelor's thru a college that had a home campus in one state, but extension classes at about every military post or base you could name. I have heard folks knock that school- but 3/4ths of the part time faculty were also faculty at a nearby university with a good rep.

I do training within my company where my students may be 400 miles apart- I see and hear them, and they me. Physical presence is a "So what?"

Look to see if the credits will transfer ...1 for 1 ..to established, reputable brick and morter schools..if so..yes, if not..no.

Most corporations have specific requirements for job titles. Diploma for this. Degree for that. Human resources checks yes or no. They don't care where you got the degree.

if i were hiring, and a degree of some sort was part of what the job required, the degree itself would be only a part of the hiring process.

if the online college was reputable, then i would have to believe the degree was reputable as well.

i think employers look at many things when hiring, and not just the degree on it's own.
