Applies to most north of the Mason-Dixon Line cooking styles.

In cream sauce with sweet onions? So nice. Cut in little bits with a nice sharp knife. Dude, you might wanna look past ham hocks and Colard greens...

Escargot? Bleu Cheese? Oysters on the 1/2 shell? Dear God have we no one here with any class?

Actually, I like all of the above, although I don't eat raw oysters anymore, cause I don't trust the water they grow in.

I once TRIED escargot in brown sauce with raspberries in some hoidy-toidy restaurant, I gagged down one & sent the rest back, buy done properly in garlic butter - Yum!

OMG, that sh!t must stink worse than Hilary! My roomy in Ft Riley would sometimes bring back Kimchi. I couldnt stand the smell of that crap, we made a deal early on, warn me before he brought it home and open all the windows.

I do love Southern cooking but Im always suspicious about the content of mixed concoctions, they hide some pretty gross things in there!

As far as Gators assertion that Northern Cooking is blando, Its not so much a blanket style of cooking, were very regional, some of the best eats and were not all that big into bungs, feet and body filters.

Two sentences that should never be said in conjunction with one another- "Boy does that smell terrible" and "I wonder what it Tastes like"? The good lord put my Eyes, nose and mouth near each other for a reason, to eliminate the bad stuff without dying. If it looks good and smells good, it might just taste good, using those senses in that order has eliminated most forms of death from food poisoning.

I like pickles eggs, a lot so when I saw pickled lambs tongue I thought giver a try. It was not the taste so much as the thought of me eating the tongue of an animal. Every bite was not ok the consistency was awful. It's a tongue of a lamb for Christ sake. Skinned a woodchuck like a chicken marinates in Italian dressing for two days
When it was time to cook it looked inside the bag couldn't do it. It looked a behead human baby, no way
Haha

Seriously, they put this @3/8" slice of the animal on the plate.

The fatty circles are internal organs. I was at a reception for a

good friend, so I ate just enough to be polite.

Made Sushi seem mild by comparison. I ate TWO PLATES

of Sushi because I got tired of folks gushing "You have to

TRY it! ". I did, it sucks, SHADDUP.

I tried a New England boiled dinner once. Yep! It was even worse than bleu cheese!
