Default Worst Case Scenario.....

....if war with North Korea broke out, and if they're serious this is what I think will happen. Lets say they throw a nuke out, well we'll swat it down and take that as a sign of aggression and mobilize. Then if N. Korea jumps the 38th Parallel and war ensues (China has supposedly put troops on the China-N. Korea border, andif they jump in this mess) but lets say they don't. Then I could see this war taking 3-6 months and 15,000 max US casualties, if the war is contained in the Korean Peninsula, as long as the Middle East and China stand down. That's just my opinion, what is some of y'all's?

The Chinese are not going to go to war over NK.

If Kim tries to use a nuke, the Chinese will step on him like a june bug.

China has a pretty good economy because of trade with us. Kim will not be allowed to piss in their corn flakes.

I agree, China will do a lot to save their main money and trade source (us). North Korea will have pretty much the whole world coming down on them, they're a lone wolf, well Iran will support North Korea but won't do anything other than give them arms. And speaking of arms, N. Korea (from what I've seen) still fields 1960s and 70s Soviet equipment, like some of their "Katyusha/Stalins Organ" type trucks,

And they parade T-72s and T-55s. The most modern things they have (from what I see) is small arms and rockets. But yet again they only let certain things out as long as it is supposed to scare or intimidate us. But really when we have these ready to kick in your front door
