Those are 30-06 round right? I may join you on a test. I have some .308 AP rounds I haven't had a chance to load yet, so I'll get out the dies and see what they can do.

Be forewarned, 30-06 soft tip hunting rounds blew through quarter inch steel plate so clean it looked like it was drilled. Not only that, it went through practice welds on the front and back.

years ago a friend let me shoot some of his 30-06 AP rounds ... put them through a 1" thick steel plate from about 50yds

I do believe the WInchester Ranger is one of the best, wound opening, bleed out rounds available.

I alternate them with 230 grain ball ammo in the winter, 1:1, just in case I need to punch through heavy clothing.

But rest assured. When a Winchester Ranger hits flesh and opens up, it tears through sh1t like a Honey Badger having a REALLY bad day.
