Not sure if it is. I would assume it heats up. I played with model air planes. The plastic covering was put on,with an iron very similar in apperance. Just a guess.

its for applying the fabric to models planes and real airplanes for that matter.it could also be used for other purposes though im sure.

check out how old the cord is. what kind of substance does it dry or cure?

do you touch it to the fabric or prepare a surface with it? is it like a soldering gun?

based on the age of the cord i'd say it was before rc existed.
