its called a roto split. ok, it cuts alloy tubes. i can see that. dad left one in to give me a hint.
but what do you split alloy for?

For splitting conduit to expose the wires inside. They still make them.

It's designed to strip the end of armored electric

cable. Then you attach a cable connecter, very

similar to a romex connector for NMB wire.

mine doesnt have that handle on bottom. im assuming thats an upgrade but my old wing nut will work?

What you have is a basic unit, I've used one dozens of times.

As long as the blade has teeth, it will be fine. If the teeth wear out,

go to your local electrical supplier. They have new blades.
