With a little creativity , there could be many applications for such hardware.! Being a furniture designer and builder , I've even used similar hardware for a turn-table on a very large teak table..! Th center piece 5ft. Dia. On a 10ft. Dia. Table , makes things easier to pass..!

Yep that's a swivel for a boat seat,we also use them for these swivel seats.

those swivel plates come in many different sizes and are used in many different applications depending on their size and weight capacity.

Think of the old man, cigar hanging from the corner of his mouth, he swivels his chair from the television and hollers "Mable, get me another beer!". Then swivels quickly back around so as not to miss what the A TEAM is up to.
Cause you know it'll be never be seen on television again. You can't miss a second.
