Woodward Dream Cruise
BEEN THERE??? Ever heard of it???? Today, the Woodward Dream Cruise is the world’s largest one-day automotive event, drawing 1.5 million people and 40,000 classic cars each year from around the globe—from as far away as New Zealand, Australia, Japan and the former Soviet Union. North American cruisers from California, Georgia, Canada and all points in between caravan to Metro Detroit to participate in what has become, for many, an annual rite of summer. The Dream Cruise takes place along a 16-mile stretch of the legendary Woodward Avenue through eight host communities including Berkley, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, Ferndale, Huntington Woods, Pleasant Ridge, Pontiac and Royal Oak, in Southeast Michigan. http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/v...Map_Page_1.jpg http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/v...Map_Page_2.jpg If you have any gasoline running in your blood you really need to experience this car party. So, let me get this straight here.
I spend a small fortune on a car that is a "classic". I then spend an even larger fortune restoring it to it's better than original glory with thousands of hours searching parts and calling around the interwebz car sites. Then you expect me to drive to METRO DETROIT for a car show?!?! Are you out of your ever loving mind?!?! Not only no, but F*CK NO! I'll visit Detroit when it's a "Remember When" Community "After The Bomb" JD |

The cruise starts eight miles North of Detroit (8 Mile Road) and continues North through some very expensive neighborhoods.

I had a 1967 Plymouth GTX 440 (sorry not a hemi) when I was 17.
Can’t believe what they go for now. Traded it for a motorcycle! What’s that saying about hindsight:mad: |
