A couple of things. First; You must always remember the two rules.

Rule #1 ALL women are crazy

Rule #2 ALL men are azzholes

Varying degrees of both.

Second; Life is too short to fret over the little stuff. You do your best to make your partner happy while you are together. Once something like this hits... it is over. You can throw money at it and put in a few more years of sweat equity ito it, but it is over. I agree she has someone waiting in the wings. Most women desire security. They will not cut one loose until there is another one standing by to provide the security

If that sounds overly harsh, Men are even more shallow.

Shallow... Now that's a load of horse pucky! My depths are limitless and never in my life have I been called shallow!

Egotistical... Perhaps?
Arrogant... Well Yeah!

... But NEVER shallow... How dare you?

ok, you lost me at rule 1, but then got my attention back at rule 2. Then you sealed the deal on the last line. Are you taken? lol

Although a couple months ago I was just promoted to a manager position at work making $15.75/hr +OT.

I've always took good care of this girl. I feel like now that she has a college degree she is on a high horse. (I never finished college when I had this job offer.) When I said this is struck a nerve to the point where I belive I hit the nail right on the head. Now she's talking about a "break" like we all don't known how that one always plays out...

Life...

And your point is.....?

I recommend we don't go down this road.

Was in reference to Tshooters stereotypical title of this thread. Not all of us women are waiting to catch a better bus.

Default women don't think like regular folks.....

I know because I are one.

She just got her degree. That is not only a lot of work, but expensive, too. She is probably relieved that she is done with at least major component, and anticipating the next big phase (a.k.a. career options).

I do know that , for reasons I cannot explain, we women, when faced with some stressful situation, have a hard time admitting to what bothers us to other people, and will often take those frustrations out on others - that is, you.

Now she probably feels like with her degree she should be launching a fancy career (not necessarily true right away. It will still take time, but she probably feels pressure to get some big job). She also knows that you are becoming successful, promotions and all, without the degree.

so she is probably feeling like she needs to earn her keep. but she will cover that by making you feel like youre not - it's a female defensive thing that I cannot understand. I just know we do it sometimes.

Good luck! it is probably temporary, especially if you are supportive and she gets a good opportunity of some kind!

Well that's great. I would think a gun forum is not the best place for such. I didn't take that kind of vibe form the OP. It seemed that his woman troubles in his opinion anyway might stem from his girlfriends perceived new-found lot in life. If this is the case then he's better off without her. After six years though I would think he wouldn't be in the market for a new girlfriend so quickly.

Stereotyping anyone usually does not end well for anyone. And I hadn't taken that form the OP.
