Have these people learned nothing from the "user agreement" on Itunes?

As far as the computer camera- there was a school that got busted last year- school issued laptops w/ cameras, seems school was activating camera when kids were at home.

With ANY electronic device- phone, cell phone, smart phone, tablet, laptop, Ipad- unless it's off and the battery is out, assume it CAN be manipulated by SOMEONE, somewhere.

Even then, am not too sure. I do know that 40 years ago, a wired telephone could be rigged from the phone company to listen in on what was said around it even when on the hook.
As I understood it, the telephone, even when on the hook still picks up the noise in the room and with sensitive equipment a phone tap could pick up the very faint electrical impulses from the microphone and get the sound in the room.

I don't see how a cell phone could track you without a power source. (battery out), but I haven't studied it. I guess if I were ever running from the law, I would toss my cell phone on a semi and let them follow it to California. I really don't worry about being tracked, cause my life would be very boring to the gment.

Makes me wonder; RFID doesn't carry a battery but has limited range.

Well.....I wonder how many people are going to start trying to make their own tires after finding that one out.

If you don't break the law, you don't need to worry about what the cops do ...
LEOs need every trick they can get, as they have the hardest job on earth.

Partner, that site is not something I would put a lot of faith in.

In the front of my mind, I agree with you. Somewhere in the back, my instincts tell me to be very vigilent of those who have power over me.

Ok, I will copy the google results page and you can pick another of the several websites.
