The Wolverine has been marketed by Olympic Arms. I am not familiar with this model, only saw it at gun shows. The user comments I remember reading were negative.

What prompted the OP to bring this to my attention?

You said you liked the looks of the new Remington pistol. Thought you'd like to see a similar vintage piece.

Olympic Arms version of this pistol is not made of aluminum as is the original. Also, OA's version has reliability issues until it gets worked in. It was a nice attempt, but they lost that sleek aluminum slide that made the original so beautiful.

Looking for an aluminum-look space gun type of weapon, you can also look into the Claridge Hi-Tech S9. It is 9mm, but still lightweight and impressive. My LGS has two of these for sale.

That one reminds me a bit of an Uzi. Sort of.

It was time for a new signature. This is what you get.

Never saw it that way because it's considerably smaller and lighter in your hand, but it does have a passing resemblance!

No, no, Winds! The original Witney is a great pistol. The recent OA copy is, or can be, slightly finicky. It also has a ribbed top rail and a black finish, where the original Whitney's slide is smooth and made of aluminum. They are very easy to tell apart.
