Default Why is there no foreign ammo available?

In the past I was able to find and buy foreign surplus military ammo.
I have 308 from South Africa, 7,62x39mm from the Czech Republic and Russia.

So why haven't I seen any of this ammo to help alleviate the current ammo shortage?

I would think these Countries would want to dump their surplus ammo on the American market and make a buck.

It's a conspiracy I tell ya!

Cut off the foreign supply, put the word out about banning certain firearms, then, when domestic ammo supply dries up, they have control of guns.

Customs has probably gone into snail mode when checking any incoming shipments of ammunition, or it is possible all the foreign surplus ammo is being diverted to the hotspots in Africa and the Middle East.

I would not be surprised the ammo is being moved elsewhere, Africa, Middle East and to countries that one time got ammo from the United States manufacturers.

We are importing ammo at record levels.

Occam's razor! Supply and demand. They can't supply it as fast as we demand it. Very simple.
