Hi, I'm an advertising student in S.California and chose to create an advertising campaign for the NRA. I grew up being comfortable with guns, since my family and friends are gun enthusiasts. I think "selling" the NRA to gun enthusiasts is pretty easy, but the real goal would be to convince NON-GUN OWNERS to join the NRA. (and I don't know if a few discounts and a magazine subscription is incentive enough) Any input, thoughts, or advice would be very helpful. Why did you join the NRA? or why didn't you? Thank you. |

Hi.
Welcome to the forum,as we get MANY Anti-2A trolls here you may not get a large response to a question such as this for a first post, why don't you jump over to the Introduction Thread and tell us a little about yourself.
Here's my take,
EVERY American should stand up for EVERY right, not just the ones that affect each of us as an individual.
Firearms are just the beginning, what we eat, what doctors we see,the rights we have to raise our children as WE see fit,all of these and more are under attack.Support for the NRA (and other2A groups)is support for the Constitution itself, substitue the right of gun ownership with ANY other right and see if it hits a little closer to home.
Take away one right and it's that much easier to take away the others. __________________ Tact; The ability to tell a man to go to he11 and make him feel happy to be on his way. Last edited by flyingbrickracing; 02-15-2010 at 11:00 AM. |

Despite the fact that I am a European living in South America, I am a member of the NRA. I carry and shoot in competitions. I joined the NRA for the simple reason because what happens in the U.S. always have some type of impact on the rest of the world, so by joining the NRA, I hope to improve the condition of owning and using firearms outside the U.S. __________________

Thank gawd we have the NRA! That being said, no one (including the NRA)has ever really been able to reach the American public, and make them understand, that hunters and their guns are this country's wildlife conservationist.
The government re-introduces the Gray Wolf, they become a problem, but people come unglued when hunters have to hunt them to control the population.
Yeah, figure out a way to make the American non-hunters and non-gun owners understand mans true role in wildlife conservation. Then they will support organizations like the NRA.
I have the questions but, none of the answers

To me the NRA protects our 2nd amendment rights. And the protection of our 2nd amendment provides protection of all other rights. |

If you agree with the 2A then why would you be against the NRA? I'm a member. I don't agree with everything they do but I do agree with their main purpose which is defending the 2A. It's under a lot of attack lately and needs all the support it can get. __________________ If the pain is lacking so is the discipline...
