I live in Pennsylvania becuase at my age I dont have a lot of options. Good gun laws kind of and not to bad depending on what part your in. Wish i lived farther up north though. Northern Pa is our 'country' part of the state small towns. Thinking about moving to tennessee in a few years tho. As long as i can find a nice small town with no yups.

Just like every where else jobs are down in CO but not horrible. Kinda depends on what job market you're in.

I also heard it was Arizona. And my friends there are glad.

I think it stems from Arizona being a border state and a drug corridor.

The good people of Arizona have plenty of reason to be concerned about their own safety. So they have seen the light about freedom and gun laws.

I live in California. I have lived here all my life. That is probably why I still live here. I have traveled all over these United states and this is the most pleasant climate I have encountered in all of my travels. The deep south has high humidity, tornadoes and hurricanes. California has highly predictable weather, low humidity and every once in awhile we get an earthquake. I like that.
I think mormens are good people. When they live in California and Arizona they are more exposed to reality and then they are not as clannish as in Utah.

I do ski, cross country, which is probably more popular in California than Utah. Utah is more of a downhill/alpine environment.

Casinos are fun sometimes, yes. Most people like the dice games, but I like poker. Poker is not a big money maker for the casinos, but they provide it because many of the spouses of dice players like poker.

I think you would probably not like living in Utah either.

The OP and some of the RPs are trying to surmise where to retire. I simply do not recommend Utah. Not very much to do there. Not when compared to Nev, Colo, Az, or Id.

Have you ever lived in Utah?

I have traveled through there and stayed there for a bit. Can't say I wouldn't like to live there though. Personally I don't tolerate proselytizing at all. I don't gamble, don't like casinos (except for the gun shows and cheap food). Of course I would have to make my own beer but that is the best way anyhow!
