Seriously though, I presume you are talking about the predominant faith here?
FWIW, Me & the family are transplants. In the more populous areas there has been enough influx of "outsiders" to kind of temper some of the overt stuff. Mormons tend to be cordial/polite to us outsiders at the very least. They are typically good neighbors. Quiet & polite, and as a non mormon, they tend to not get into your business. Being up here around the base, it's more of a melting pot than some areas.
I got stationed at Hill AFB back in 03. Retired here in 06. Utah has a lot going for it. Fishing, hunting, skiing, etc. I'm more "indoorsy," though I'll be ready to break out the Triumph when the weather warms up.
I worked for a company based in SLC and as you mentioned there are a lot of Mormons they never were preachy. They were all solid people and never cared if you drank at dinner or anything else that they don't do. SLC and up in Park City are beautiful places.

Ironically, the temps were unseasonably warm for that time of year. Only in the last week or so have temps settled near normal. I was visiting SOCAL that week, man it was warm. It's too bad I would have to give up so much quality of life to move back there (I was born in Pasadena). I would love be riding in 75 deg weather on new years eve.

I'm here because the house is free. Due to my retired status I can carry just about anywhere. If I had my druthers it would be Vermont.

Sat what? A free house in California? Unheard of! How do you pull that one off?

That probably makes perfect sense in Oklahoma.
