Good speaker but "the state has monopolized the use of force" struck me as anti civilian ownership. I believe the Netherlands has stringent gun control and no constitutional protections.

That's exactly my take. I like this guys heart and no doubt he's intelligent. But the monopoly of force belonging to the government is not an indicator of a free or safe people. When times are good, this scheme works fine. When times get hard, the people always lose. Always.
