i still have the stinger and the vampire.
i remember how to avoid paying jacked prices on slot bodies, guys would buy standard issue model car bodies and fit them. they were a little heavier gauge plastic and would take the hits and last longer. the others were held on by 4 body screws and would rip after just one spin out.
most i knew ran w/o bodies, until a ruling made you have to have one.
