I've traced my family back to the first Crucade. From there to France to up state New York in the 1600's. Then headed west in the mid-1800's.

Knowing where I come from help's me see where I'm headed.

German, Irish, Scotish, Dutch, English, Cherokee, and Souix. Yep I'm a mutt!

My great great uncle on my dad's side was Bat Masterson. He spent his last years as a sports writer for a newspaper in NYC, and grandad's dad married into the family. Kinda interesting what you learn from the family geneologist.
