When I'm not tip'n a jug of my favorite shine,I drink Wild Turkey 101 proof or Wild Turkey-Rare Breed 108 proof bourbon whiskey.
But,I really like the moonshine.I have many different shine's from several different states, and they all are different tastes depending from the area's that they were distilled.

Blanton's Bourbon neat. No ice, water or ginger ale needed. It's a rare find at most bars but very much worth the search. Look for the faceted bottle with the pewter racehorse on the top of the cork.

According to Wikipedia: Bourbon whiskey, an American whiskey made using a corn based mash.

Apparently, you can make Boubon anywhere in America using corn mash, but to me "Texas Bourbon" has an odd ring kinda like "Gay Marriage."

The one on the side street at the bottom of the hill under Edinbugh Castle? Never gone in. How is it!?

Glenfiddich has been my go to.

Bourbon is nice and u guys got me to buy Makers Mark -- very nice if not a little sweet based on its wheat mash content. Jack Daniels (and yeah, Jack Daniels can't officially be a Bourbon any more than Bourbon Chicken came from China) has been a staple though Wild Turkey 101 is the "traditional" corn Bourbon I usually drink. But I like Ryes and so Old Grand-Dad 100 has been my fave.

I stand corrected, your right it can be made anywhere in the US.
