My first guns, rifle, pistol, and shotgun, were given to me by my family. The first gun that I actually picked out and purchased for myself was a Marling Glenfield Model 25 from the ad for our local Gemco store when I was 12.

My grandpa gave me my first gun, a Winchester single shot .410. I still shoot better with it than any other shotgun!

My first rifle was bought from a future brother-in-law's uncle by my father when I was six, great Christmas (not for that squirrel).

The first firearm I bought for myself was from a pawn/gun/surplus shop in Starkville, MS.

My first rifle was a single shot .22 rim fire Savage. I bought it at Western Auto and can't remember what it cost but I don't think it was a whole lot.

My dad bought my first shotgun in 1957 (I was 10) in a pawn shop for $5.00 in Texas. H&R 410 single shot. Still have it.
