Kudos to her for preventing this...

I met my wife around 29 or 30. We were married a year ago this past May. I dont know how I stayed single so long but will admit single life was fun. Married life is nice and relaxing however. Im 32 now and am happy I waited.

Met my first wife at work when I was 24, married 6 months later. Ended after 16 1/2 years, about 17 years too late.

Met current and final wife about 18 months after divorce was final. Met her online, called her 2 days later, bought a ring 2 weeks later after deciding that it'd be cheaper to get married than to continue paying long-distance tolls to AT&T (80 hours on phone in 2 weeks - I was 800 miles away), popped the question 3 hours after picking her up at the Nashville airport 2 weeks later (first time we had seen each other in person), and 3 months later we got married on The Big Island of Hawaii - on the beach at sunset, barefoot in the sand, tropical prints, minister, photog and guitar player only ones present (besides the green sea turtle that popped up just off the beach midway thru the ceremony - the minister said it was a good omen that the turtle blessed the union - the ceremony had Hawaiian elements). We sat on the beach drinking Merlot out of the bottle as the sunset faded to black. Almost nine years later, she is still the best thing to ever enter my life. We still have that wine bottle full of sand from that beach.

I met my wife when I went to buy a case of ammunition from her father. I was 25 at the time.

We're still married.

Met my future ex-wife when I was 25 and she was 26. Got rid of her when I was just a couple of months shy of 30. The alcohol and drugs she got into were beyond what I could stomach. She was an LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) and worked in a locked ward (mental patients). She and her friends were on more drugs than their charges in the locked ward.

That was 30 years ago and I've been happily single ever since.

Have been 'terminally single' for the past 22 years now. Can't see that changing anytime soon
