I used to feed the birds religiously. Every night I'd fill the feeders so they'd be ready bright and early for the birds. I did attract many birds I had never seen before. I had seed for finches, different mix for cardinals and jays, put out oranges for Orioles, etc. But the biggest attractant seemed to be a steady supply of clean water.
Have fun. I know I enjoyed it and I would like to get back into it. When I cleaned out my garage I saw all kinds of feeders I used to set out. Some for perching birds, clinging birds, finches, ground feeding birds, etc. It was almost like a science.
