The one nearest my hand, generally, but i have found a WELL-MADE long island iced tea or margerita (not from mix) or just some smirnoff with cranberry to be among my favorites. I went through a phase with kamikazis in college; my favorite bar would serve me three as shots, three with ice, and send three to the table.

18 Years old with a few drops of pure water. A pipe full of Capt. Black Royal. Sun going down on the Red Desert.

Had Blue, it's good but I prefer Gold Label. Keep a bottle in the freezer.

Oh, for you guys loving the dusty stuff, a roomie of mine was always going to garage sales in east memphis neighborhoods and found some interesting stuff. He came home with a bottle of bourbon bearing a tax stamp from 1918; it had been opened for one drink. It still tasted like bourbon to me.

Think about that date; that was before prohibition hit; this was somebody's secret stash.

Default Mixed Drinks?

My 'commonest' drink is scotch and soda over ice. Having said that, I also enjoy the occasional gin and tonic.

When doing something on purpose requiring actual preparation, I like my version of a French 75. A French 75 is cognac or brandy with [lemon in the original, but I don't like lemon and substitute] lime juice, then fill up the champagne flute with champagne. All components chilled beforehand.

For an after-dinner or bedtime drink, I mix one large cup of decaff coffee (I don't sleep well) with one jigger of Irish Creme and one jigger of Drambuie. It's hard on my blood sugar but pretty easy on my mouth. I call it a 'Claymore'.

Whiskey on the rocks the good stuff not watered down or diluted with anything.

I love Long Island Ice Tea my Kryptonite (spelling??)

For beer can't remember last time I bought a beer since I brew my own. Love the dark brews and I tinker with the recipes to make it more gooder yes I did say " Gooder".

As my dad had told me a couple of time "Never turn down a free beer" and I extended that to mixed drinks too.

Surprised some wasn't said anything about drinking Dos Equiexs (spelling??) LOL ;-)
