Exactly this. That's why grandkids are so fun. We don't worry over every little thing like we did raising our kids.

there was a time many years ago when i dreaded getting old, but not anymore, as i have accepted reality that we all if given the chance, will grow old. what good about getting old? the memories of all you have done or been through, good and bad. they say that someday you'll look back at this and laugh, well it's pretty true. there are things that pained me or caused me distress in the past, that now i can either smile or laugh about now. but your memories are sometimes all you have left when you get old. friends are gone, you're not able to do what you could do when younger, your health has slipped, but you will always have memories to enjoy. i think that's why it's important to live everyday like it's your last and to try and make new memories everyday, to reflect upon when you get older! live your life to the fullest, love those you care about, and don't hold grudges.

ROFL No kidding. I am eligible for Senior Citizen's discount at some places but now all. I take advantage whenever I can.

I did my permanent employee physical yesterday.
Doctor asked me to stand up. Snap crackle pop...
Turn. Snap crackle pop...
Pull. Snap crackle pop...
Push. Snap crackle pop...
Lift. Snap crackle pop...
Squat. Snap crackle pop...
so on, so forth...
Doc asked if there's anything that doesn't pop when I move it. I said no, and my jaw goes "pop". Then I said, "wait. Not anymore apparently."
Ahhh.... The joys of being young.
But hey!! She said everything else is in damn near perfect shape!
