Your lucky to have a good source for tamales - too much work & steep learning curve.

The old Navajo lady that sells tamales on the parking lot of the Safeway on the North end of Parker, Arizona. She makes a great masia harina but damn little meat. She shows up with an old blue plastic coolers and sells out pretty fast.

Do you remember when BlueWater Casino was in the Safeway complex ? Employees used to buy burritos from old Lady - all varieties.
Parker AZ - Casino is primary employer. One Mexican family made tamales once a month and you had to get on the list. Best I've ever had and double wrapped. When I asked her why she made them that way, she said that's how her mother did it.

Yep, same old lady. The one with the list made better tamales The casino is now north along the river. We used to get some messcan beer and polo at the Safeway and eat in the cottonwood grove up by the airport. Well for a real time there was the catfish joint across the river in Wyatt Earp, California.

Been a little backed up so in hopes that all the grease will get me flowing again I had a Hadree's chicken fried steak biscuit and hasbrowns.
