What I don't get is the kid can't stand the real stuff. More for me!

I learned to like Scotch Eggs while I was in Scotland. These are sold there about every where in the morning. They make great pocket food when hunting. You can find a number of recipes on the web.

Grits. Nothing special, just some good grits.

The very best grits can be ordered from Bird's Mill in Virginia. Instant grits are a terrible waste of corn.

I'm with ya on the instant crap. I've cooked the long 30-45 min variety and the short cooking - short is best IMHO. Don't know why they don't reheat well.

Biscuit & Blues - Natchez, MS had great jalapeño cheese grits but they guarded the recipe. All I could get out of the owner was one ingredient - cream cheese.

Scotch eggs looked good. Was that a GBD coating ? (golden brown & delicious)

This morning made my wife and daughter breakfast. Daughter had scrambled eggs, toast, stawberries and dry Cheerios. Wife had scrambled eggs, toast, strawberries as well. She is not well today so that was a very small portion. I had two eggs over well, toast, bacon, and strawberries.

My daughter dropped off my grandson this morning, wife had headache so I made him some one eyed Suzies. Then I made me some too. Very easy quick breakfast I used to make when my kids were little. Just melt a little butter in the skillet. Tear a big hole in slice of bread. Throw in skillet break an egg in the hole.when egg is about half done in the hole flip it for about same ammout of time and serve. He loved it. He said next time Mammaw cook breakfast I need to do the eggs like that.
