Ever tried the trailer park version? Open some of those cardboard tube prefab biscuits from the grocery, cut each bisquit into quarters, fry the bits in a FryDaddy-type gizmo, and dust with powdered sugar. Tasty!

I used to make those "doughnuts" when my kids were little. Cheap, easy and good. Not a regular on our menu but a nice treat on occasion.
