Right, that's how you get experience, after the shtf. Hopefully you'll know better next time.

After the first time it is a choice, not a mistake.

That's right, unfortunately some people never learn. A lot of those end up winning the Darwin award.

There were many things my Grand-Paw and Dad advised me over the years.

But this one that I remember and especially when buying a good weapon.

"Anything Worth Having is Worth Waiting For!"

How many times have we jumped the gun wanting another weapon, but to satisy the emediate desire we bought something else instead of saving up for a while. Only to be disastisfied, sorry and trade it off taking a beating. And ended up later getting what we wanted in the first place at about a third more than what we would have paid for it in the beginning!
Anyone here Guilty of this?
I also am guilty! Even though I had great advise! But after many lessons got the urge under control!

I have been told this by a lot of wise old timers.
"Don't sweat the petty stuff. And don't pet the sweaty stuff."
"If it's not righty tighty, lefty loosey, keep your wrenches out of it. It'll run longer and better."

You have two ears and one mouth, use them in that ratio.

Use to see this tacked up in a few bars: Engage brain before opening mouth. As far as I know, no one in a bar ever took the advice.
