Loud, yes. But it told all the enemy soldiers to go away or be ripped to pieces by 30 .45 rounds.

You know, when I was little, my brother told me that the M1-Garand could kill someone with one shot no matter wher it hit... now I know he was joking....
Its true a hit from the .45 any wear will kill you as well. My favorite probably the Thompson. The StGw 44 was probably the most influential post war.

I also like the Browning Hi Power used by all sides but, ironically especially the Germans, in WW 2.

Could kill? Pretty much. Anything larger than a hand or foot, it "could" kill. Enough arterial flow to bleed out on a battle field if shot in arm or leg (in the right spot.

Battle rifle - Garand
Belt fed - MG-42
Carbine/lightweight rifle - STG-44
Handgun - 1911A1

robo I like your format so Iwill reply in kind:

Battle Rifle : FG42
Belt fed: MG 42
Assault Rifle: StGw 44 (StGw 44 too heavy to classify as a carbine IMO)
Handgun: Browning Hi-Power
Tank Main Gun: KWK 43
Anti Armor Infantry Weapon: Panzerfaust (late model)
SubMachine Gun: Some Italian Job I keep forgetting the nomenclature for.

panzerfaust is a single shot, disposable shaped charge anti-tank system. You have one shot. You miss, you die. And no. I just want to know peoples overall favorite WW2 gun.
