That sounds good I have a rack of ribs in my freezer I might have to give that a try.
Taco Soup: 2lbs. of lean ground beef, 1 large can of red kidney beans, 1 can of hominy, 1 can of corn, 1 can of diced tomatoes, 1/2 cup of diced onions, 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, i package of taco seasoning and 1 package of dry ranch dressing.

brown meat in skillet, drain add little oil and add in onions and bell peppers and salt and pepper, cook until onions and peppers are softened. put into a large cooking pot on the stove on low heat, add remaining ingrediants, simmer for about an hour, serve with cornbread and fritos!

I'm bringing back this thread...I'd like to cook my mom something nice for mothers day. She likes Italian food. Any ideas? And yes, I could just take her to Olive Garden or something...but I think she would appreciate it more if I actually cooked for her.

That actually sounds pretty good. I like asparagus...and I'm pretty sure my mom does too. Also would be pretty easy to make. Great idea!

I keep a food page with over 900 friends and they post pics/recipes of food. The recipes are all organized into albums. If you're interested, send me a friend request and you can view them. The site is www.facebook.com/thekohler.kitchen

Or linguine with marinara, pepperoni, and mozeralla cheese.

Do it like a bake, cook your linguine, add your marinara and pepperoni. Then put it in your bake pan and add the cheese on top, then bake it until the cheese is melted

That sounds really good too! Just add a side of salad and garlic bread.

Yeah, I'm a pretty decent cook. I just don't cook much Italian style foods. I really like grilling, BBQ, and chili/soup.
