Molly Hatchet. Been a long time since I have thought of them. What kind of music is that anyhow, southern country death metal?
Loved them back in high school, along with Skynyrd and all. Went more Country myself since then. God! I gotta listen to Hatchet again. My boys are of that age where they would like it as I did when I was young and dumb and full of....

How old are you Longhair? Not that it matters. I remember when the plane went down and Ronny Van Zant was killed along with Steve Gaines and a couple of others. I was 12 years old. I did go to the "new" Skynyrd concert in the '80's (I think i still have the T-shirt). I have the records and all. I also have some Hatchet records.
Do you listen to the Doobie Brothers? If you have heard their song about Loma Prieta that is where I live. I think the song is "Back To California". I can look out my bedroom window and see Loma Prieta. I worked on one of the Doobie's cars many years ago.

Steve Lee is a great fellow and I'm more of a heavy metal/death metal kinda guy, but his songs are down right amazing.

I was born in '65.
I lived by Southern Rock and Country Western when I was a kid. Gone more country these days though. I did like some metal and rock though, I went to The Who, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and I can't remember how many other concerts back in the day. I have to tell you though that Molly Hatchet is more of a Death Metal Country band. Sort of like Meat Loaf. Undefinable might be the genre.
