Local artist Greg Kihn. Funny thing about this song is he had not finished writing the song and was pitching it to his label. The "UH uh uh oh uh uh uh uh" was just filler for lyrics he had not yet thought up, but the record company loved it the way it was and with a few minor changes and additions he cut the song.
