Just had a gent on one of the auction sites that recently put up a bolt action .22 "military trainer" seeking a starting bid of $1500. Problem- THAT rifle was never a miltary trainer, and it has been refinished. It is worth about $85 on a good day. About like that J-22.

Some of us have this uncanny thing that once we touch something, the value increases. We never have to worry about the "no longer new" thing.

Like Elvis' Cadillac.

You should see how much I charge for autographs.
