What cracks me up is that my younger nephew's facial hair looked like the second picture there BEFORE he ever shaved; it grew that way. He stays clean-shaven nowadays.

Regarding the Olympic shooter's shotgun, is that teeeeeny bit of advantage really worth shooting with something that ass-ugly? Seriously, I don't see the pole vaulters adding car springs or the javelin tossers adding wings. That is just horrific.

I picture a lot of people on this site being like:image-610423988.jpg
image-2579067882.jpg

I was at the LGS today and there were 2 guys in there looking at a 1911 by RIA. They were like:image-2211355622.jpg

Hey, it's your right to own guns, but...gulp...there are times I wonder about certain people's ability to own them in a responsible manner. And it seems every time the media interviews a gun owner it's always the one person you wish they were not speaking to. I'm in Indianapolis. It's the same way with Colts fans. The news always picks the most ignorant person in the entire state to interview.

Seriously, peoples' prejudices say more about themselves than they say about those that have been pre-judged. I see no need to be concerned by others' view of me, when they have no reasonable basis for their views.

I know that right now there is an exagerated polarization between gun owners and anti-gun people, but this too shall pass.

Do not wed yourself and respect for yourself to the opinion of others, you will be adrift for all of your days. Base your personal value on the beliefs that you hold, your deeds and service to others, and the respect you show for other people.

Times of crisis do not build character, they reveal it.

HUH. Jack Hoffman works at a gun shop now? I also imagine a lot of people on this site looking like those top 2 photos.

We all make prejudicial assumptions about what people might look like. Take dango, for instance. Never met the guy or seen a picture of him. But I have a pretty good idea what he looks like. No offense and none taken.
