Also heard if you are mall security you should always wear 2 trauma plates taped to your back to stop mall snipers from killing you as you walk out to your car at the end of your shift!
you been reading up on Gecko45 haven't you? the original mall ninja!

How about when you hear someone say, "it's ok, the safety is on"

The shot from your .45 throwing your enemy combatent into the air and back 10' like in a 70's Kung Foo movie. I had an ex-Marine tell me it was the truth as he himself created this manifestation fighting in Lebanon.

But as that was already sort of mentioned I'll go with these 21st Century low-information voter shotgun myths:

  • "birdshot at self-defense distances is safer but just as effective as Buckshot"
  • "00 Buckshot is the best self-defense shell."
  • "In your shotgun you should use alternating rounds of [fill in the blanks]"
  • "Low/Managed Recoil and/or flight control rounds are better because [fill in the blank with any of the talking points the manufacturers wrote for government buyer promotional literature and the gunzines]"
  • Rack the slide and badguys just turn, drop their i.d., and flee in terror from pump action shotgun holders
  • "They'll never come for my fancy shotgun(s)"

I get all hurt when someone says that about my .380. It's as if they were insulting one of my children. I think my .380 could do a fine job of defending me......provided I do my part.

Porcelain is a pretty delicate substance. I think if a gun were made of porcelain it would certainly shatter.

Winds, i got a Bersa 380 for my wife to use. she knows how to use it and feels comfortable with it and i feel confident in it. i wouldn't want to be on the recieving end of her using it!

if you're comfortable and confident in using it, then that's all that matters. i even feel comfortable with a 380!

I've also heard that " the energy from a .45 is equivalent to a brick hitting you at 120 miles per hour"

Glocks are the only pistol that is completely made of plastic and can't be detected by airport security detectors.............courtesy of some of the retards in the Australian Press around the time of 9-11.

What makes this even more ridiculous is that if it's black than it's a deadly military weapon that in the eyes of the Press makes it even more accurate.

If you've got a rifle that's painted black with a 'scope on it then you've got a deadly sniper's rifle that can kill at a 1000yds(my M98 actioned 30/06AI with a B&C fibreglass stock is in this category).

One of our ex Greens Leaders really scared the world with the classic "Most shooters have 1 of these deadly hand held machine gun assault pistols in the glove box's in their cars!"

Don't worry boys we've got some absolute nanny state handwringers over here as well.
