What are the most ridiculous gun myths?

Mine is that if you shoot a man on the ear with a .45 it'll still stop... And sorry I meant ARE

Speaking of shooting someone with a .45...

I was told once, that at 100 yards, if you hold your hand out to your side, with one finger extended, a hit with a .45 on the tip of that finger will knock you off your feet.

I also am still trying to figure out what the hell a class 2 sniper grade weapon is.

I'm pretty sure if my finger got shot off, from 10 feet or 100 yards, I'd fall on the ground and cry like a little kid.

Well I probably would too. But we're talking about the force from the impact knocking you clean off your feet.

#1: Guns kill people.

Mine pretty much just lay there. Never seen one get aggressive.
Maybe yours are different.

1. Shotguns do not require aiming- you just point it in the general direction of your target. (Tell that to the doves laughing at me as they wing their way South)

2. The Russians designed their rifles so that they could shoot American ammo if they needed to, but not vice versa. (The Mosin/ Nagant is 15 yrs older than 30-06, 7.62 x 39 is about 15 yrs older than 5.56)

3. The M16 fires a bullet that tumbles in flight. (Try throwing a football like that)

4. The AR15 is too hard to learn to use. What you want is a double barreled shotgun- just go outside, point it in the air, and pull the trigger. (Thank you, Mr. Vice President. Have you considered taking your act to Saturday Night Live?)

A 9mm is not a good man stopper , you should get a .45 . I laugh when I hear this. I always ask if to they want to let me try out the 15 rds of 9mm on them. Usually no reply
